Office of the Inspector General

The Office of the Inspector General (OTIG) is viewed as “the conscience of the Corps,” with the mission of adding value at all levels of the program through assistance, advice and advocacy.  As a result, OTIG is available to assist units and personnel by conducting inspections and investigating complaints.  OTIG is dedicated to helping maintain the integrity and honor of the USAC. The IG inspection and complaint processes are covered by USAC regulations.  You should always reference these regulations before contacting OTIG with a concern.

Your first involvement with the Inspector General will be two-fold:

  • The Initial Application background check is conducted by OTIG using a variety of methods to ensure suitability of adults for service in the USAC.

  • Wthin 30 days of enrollment and approval by the DCS, G1, you must complete Cadet Protection Policy Training (CPPT).  This essential training ensures that you are aware of USAC’s standards for working with Cadets.   Further, CPPT will inform you regarding reporting responsibilities applicable to you should you suspect any sort of Cadet abuse.

  • CPPT may be conducted formally in a classroom, or informally by telephone, based on the availability of certified instructors.

The IG HOTLINE PHONE is for official communications relating to complaints of fraud, waste, abuse or Cadet protection issues ONLY.
