James McEachin of Hollywood Fame to be Keynote Speaker at Millersburg Military Ball
Mr. James McEachin, a seasoned actor for over 50 years, and a Silver Star and Purple Heart veteran of the Korean War, will be the keynote speaker for the Millersburg Military Ball on April 24th, hosted by the U.S. Army Cadet Corps in Millersburg. Mr. McEachin, an Army Reserve Ambassador with a protocol position equivalent to the rank of Major General, is a member of the U.S. Army Cadet Corps Board of Advisors. McEachin is best known for performances in television hits such as “Perry Mason,” “Matlock” and “Murder She Wrote.” In recent years, he has performed patriotic performances for audiences ranging from the White House to the National Convention of the American Legion. Army Jazz Band to Perform at Millersburg Military Ball
The U.S. Army Jazz Band – The Dragoons from Fort Knox, Ky.– will be the entertainment for the first Millersburg Military Ball to be held on Friday evening, April 24th. A gourmet dinner will be followed by dancing and an evening of celebration and reminiscing. Further, historic items from the 113 year history of MMI will be on display.
The Ball, which is open to the public, will celebrate the history of Millersburg Military Institute (MMI) and the future of the U.S. Army Cadet Corps (USAC), which purchased the historic campus in September, 2009.
