They learned to respect themselves and those around them, believe in their ability to excel and work as a team. The time has come for you to celebrate their achievement. Please read the following information carefully if you plan to attend a graduation ceremony. DatesThe United States Army Cadet Corps (USAC) will hold five graduation ceremonies this AT: 7 July 2012:Basic Cadet Training, Session I (BCT-I)Officer Candidate School (OCS-I) Direct Commission Course (DCC) Basic Leader Course (BCT) 14 July 2012:Cadet Ranger Challenge (CRC)21 July 2012:Basic Cadet Training, Session II (BCT-II)Cadet Basic Leader Course (CBLC) Basic Cadet Training to Cadet Basic Leader Course Combined Course (BCT/CBLC) 28 July 2012:Cadet Advanced Leader Course (CALC)The Army Cadet Martial Arts Program (TACMAP) 4 August 2012:Cadet Ranger School (CRS)Cadet Military Police Academy (CMPA) Graduation TimesAll graduation ceremonies will commence at 1000 sharp. The first 200 guests will have seats. Guests are requested to arrive no earlier then 30 minutes prior to the ceremony; gates will not open until 0900. The graduation ceremonies typically last one hour. Proper AttireCivilian guests to the Forest Hill Station, National Cadet Training Center (NCTC) are encouraged to dress respectfully for the occasion and appropriately for the weather. The warmest month of the year is July with an average maximum temperature of 85.90 degrees Fahrenheit. Although we encourage guests to wear comfortable attire, we request that guests refrain from wearing flip-flops, sandals, cut-offs or any revealing attire.All civlian guests are authorized to wear the USAC Polo Shirt available for purchase through the Army Cadet Exchange Service (ACES). Military guests (active, reserves or retired) are authorized to wear their Army Combat Uniform, or branch equivalent, in accordance with published regulations. Note. Location and Vehicle ParkingThe Forest Hill Station is located on 1122 Main Street, Millersburg, KY 40348-0277. For driving directions please visit our location page. Family NightGuests are invited for Retreat (ceremony that marks the end of duty day) each night before graduation. Following Retreat, guests are invited to visit the Forest Hill Station facilities, visit with cadre, shop at ACES and dine with Cadets in the Dining Facility (DFAC). Retreat is scheduled for 1800 sharp and guests are invited to stay on base until 2100. NOTE: No recruits/Cadets are authorized off-post travel during family night. AccommodationsGuests are not permitted to stay overnight at Forest Hill Station. The following accommodations are available nearby: Army Cadet Lodge (located approximately 0.2 miles from Forest Hill Station) The Army Cadet Lodge includes a bed, TV, coffee pot and other amenities. All fees benefits the U.S. Army Cadet Corps. King-bed rooms are available for $99 per night and Queen-bed rooms are available for $79 per night. There is a minimum two-night stay on all reservations. Check-Out ProcessThe check-out process will be time-consuming. We must have accountability for every Cadet who is leaving, and require a signature assuming custody of a Cadet. Thus, Cadets will not detach (released to parents) AT LEAST 2 hours after graduation. Parents are kindly requested to factor this time into their travel plans and permit their Cadet to complete the check-out process independently. The following priority will be used to streamline the check-out process: Priority 1: Cadets who are traveling by plane or train, unaccompanied, on Saturday evening. Priority 2: Staff members who are traveling by plane or train, on Saturday evening. Priority 3: Cadets who are traveling by plane or train, accompanied by family, on Saturday. Priority 4: Cadets who are traveling by car over 250 miles, leaving on Saturday. Priority 5: Staff members who are traveling by car over 250 miles, leaving on Saturday. Priority 6: Cadets who are traveling by car less than 250 miles, leaving on Saturday. Priority 7: Staff members who are traveling by car less than 250 miles, leaving on Saturday.
