Benefits to Cadets
The USAC provides young people with an extremely realistic view of military life. This is accomplished through hands-on experience in a variety of career fields while instilling strong values, positive character traits and a sense of civic responsibility. Cadets are under no obligation to later serve in the Armed Forces; however, many have gone on to highly successful military and civilian careers.
The Corps of Cadets is closely patterned after the U.S. Army, following Army training standards and wearing specially modified uniforms in accordance with Title 10, United States Code, and in compliance with AR 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia.
Cadets complete a standardized set of promotion criteria, including community service, Drug Demand Reduction training and presentations, and CPR/First Aid certification and more to be eligible for leadership positions. The highlight of our program is two to four weeks of Annual Training conducted each summer. |
